US Pledges Support For Reforms In Ukraine

KIEV, Ukraine -- United States Ambassador to Ukraine has commented the new government for a vigorous start to reforms in that country.

If the reforms continue in this vein, it will promote a positive image of Ukraine in the United States and Europe, Ambassador John Tefft told Ukrainian Justice Minister Oleksandr Lavrynovych at a meeting with him Monday.

The press service of the Justice Ministry quoted Tefft as saying that the United States is ready to help Kiev in the implementation of economic and judicial reforms.

The Ambassador recalled the support to Ukraine on the path of reforms pledged by President Barack Obama during his recent meeting with Ukrainian counterpart Viktor Yanukovych.

Tefft also conveyed Washington's interest in the details of proposed plans to draft amendments to the legislation in various problem areas.

The emergence of a new administration headed by President Viktor Yanukovych has enlivened the country's bail-out prospects from international agencies.

Battered by the economic downturn, Ukraine was badly in need of a new, stable government to adopt a delayed 2010 budget and restart talks with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) on a suspended $16.4 billion bail-out package.

Yanukovych is trying to demonstrate that he will balance relations with Moscow and the West and his commitment to developing relations with Europe.

U.S. PLEDGES SUPPORT FOR REFORMS
IN UKRAINE"

THIS IS A VERY INTERESTING STORY FROM THE STANDPOINT THAT AFTER THE ORANGE REVOLUTION AND IN THE YEAR PRECEEDING THE LATEST UKRAINE ELECTION THE U.S. HAD RATHER IGNORED DIRECT INVOLVEMENT AND HELPING UKRAINE WHEN IT NEEDED IT AND DESERVED IT, AS UKRAINE IS BEST FRIEND TO U.S. IN MANY WAYS OF SUPPORT ESPECIALLY IN THE INTERNATIONAL WAR ON TERRORISM.

U.S. PRESIDENT OBAMA MUST HAVE GONE TO ABOUT EVERY MAJOR WESTERN EUROPEAN COUNTRY AND GEMANY AND SPENT MUCH TIME IN TURKEY.
I MEAN WHAT HAS TURKEY DONE IN THE WAR ON TERROR OR TO HELP UKRAINE OR THE U.S. OUT LATELY AND U.S. INVOLVEMENT IN IRAQ WILL PROVE TO BE FAR LESS LOYAL DOWN THE ROAD THAT THE RELATIONSHIP WHICH ALREADY EXISTS BETWEEN U.S. AND UKRAINE.
AND BOTH GERMANY AND TURKEY ARE NATO MEMBERS BUT HAVE DONE LITTLE TO HELP IN THE WAR ON TERRORISM AND OTHER AREAS AND MOST OF THE
E.U. MEMBER COUNTRIES DENIED UKRAINE MEMBERSHIP WHCIH IS IN
DENIAL OF KEEPING A GREAT COUNTRY LIKE UKRAINE IN THE COMPETITION OF THE E.U., ESPECIALLY ECONOMICALLY.

ONLY RECENTLY HAS OBAMA BEEN ADVISED THAT THE U.S. NEEDS TO BE SPENDING MORE TIME WITH UKRAINE IN AGREEMENTS AND RELATIONS BOTH DIPLOMATIC, MILITARY, ECONOMIC AND CULTURAL.

PRESIDENT YANUKOVICH IS NOW PRESIDENT OF UKRAINE AND UKRAINE HAS A STRONG RELATIONSHIP WITH RUSSIA COMPARED TO YUSCHENKO AND
IN DEALING WITH RUSSIA--A STRONG RELATIONSHIP IS A SLSY WAY OF GETTING IN THE BACK DOOR WITH RUSSIA AND IT IS ALSO BECAUSE U.S. OFFICIALS KNOW THAT YANUKOVICH WILL BE VERY OPEN MINDED TO THE U.S. ESPECIALLY IF THERE IS FINANCIAL, DIPLOMATIC OR
EVEN MILITARY AID.
AND YANUKOVICH IS A DIRECT LINK TO THE KREMLIN.

WHAT I AM GETTING AT, IT IS NOT OUT OF GREAT LOVE AND KNOWLEDGE OF UKRAINE PRESENCE IN EASTERN EUROPE THAT THIS RELATIONSHIP IS BEING FORMED BUT RATHER MORE OUT OF NECESSITY BECAUSE SOME SMART U.S. OFFICIALS HAVE INFORMED OBAMA
THAT IF YOU DON'T DEAL A STRAIGHT HAND WITH UKRAINE THEN YOU WILL LOSE OUT WITH RUSSIA....SMART LIKE A GOOD MOVE IN RUSSIAN CHESS.

FROM A RUSSO-UKRAINE POINT OF VIEW THERE IS MORE THAN MEETS THE EYE HERE AS THE U.S. KNOWS RUSSIA IS MAKING PLANS AND ON THE MOVE.

OVERALL YANUKOVICH WILL BE THE MAIN DECISION MAKER---NOT RUSSIA OR UKRAINE, SO WE MUST WAIT AND SEE HOW SINCERE THE U.S. IS.
REMEMBER THE U.S. AND RUSSIA BOTH--NEED-UKRAINE!

SO, IS THIS GOOD OR BAD?
IT IS GOOD AS YANUKOVICH UNDRESTANDS THAT THE U.S. KNOWS HE IS CLOSE IN REALTIONS WITH RUSSIA BIT I BELIEVE PRESIDENT YABUKOVICH IS NO FOOL.
CHECKMATE!! START AGREEMENT
STILL NEEDS TO BA RATIFIED AND UKRAINE MAKES BEST ICBM MISSLES.

U.S. SUPPORT-ADDED INFORMATION

As a follow up comment to my one on the U.S. and Ukraine developing closer ties---which is good there are some issues in the U.S.

Currently due to the mortgage fallout and crisis and other financial dealings, PRESIDENT WILL BE UNDERDGOING INTENSE SCRUTINY SOON BY GOVERNMENT RELATIONS DUE TO TIES WITH SPECIIC FINANCIAL INTEREST GROUPS
IN THE U.S. AND IN EUROPE AND MID EAST.
PRESIDENT YANUKOVICH IS MAKING SOME GOOD MOVES BUT DIPLOMATICALLY HE MAY BEST TO GAUGE HIS DCISIONS WITH PRESIDENT OBAMA NOW AS THERE ARE MAJOR INVESTIGATIONS UNDERWAY REGARDING SOME GOVERNMENGT CORRUPTION.
...ALSO IT HAS BEEN" ALLEGED" THAGT SOME FINANCIAL INTERTESTS WHO DONATED MONEY TO OBAMA OR HAD
SOME CONTACTS WITH HIM HAVE TIES WITH CDERTAIN UNDE\SIREBALE GROUPS BEING INVESTIGATED BY INTERNATIONAL Authorities.....I recommend that those reading this information please consult some of your major worldwide news organizations such as BBC-DW tv
D from Germany and ITN news and also CNN in the U.S.
..in the meantrime the ukraine is on a correct path but just must
weightall decisisons either with russia or the us carefully.1
he is the new man on the bloc and doing well so he is in teh drivers seat and commander in chief.
